Biography:
Marissa Doyle graduated from Bryn Mawr College intending to be an archaeologist but somehow got distracted. After working in a nursing home, in fundraising, and as a stay- at-home mom, she finally figured out what it was she really should be doing (apart from the mom part), and started writing. Her young adult books Bewitching Season and Maiden Voyage are forthcoming from Henry Holt, and she is at work on a YA fantasy as well as adult fiction. She lives in her native Massachusetts with her family, including a very large and bossy lop-eared rabbit who shares her passion for coffee and dark chocolate, and loves making quilts, sailing, and antiques.
Book: Bewitching Season
Making her debut in London society is not what shy Persephone Leland wants to be doing this fine spring in 1837—it’s ever so much nicer to stay at home and study magic than go husband-hunting. But when her beloved magic tutor is kidnapped as part of an evil plot against Princess Victoria, Persy and her twin sister Penelope must search London with the help of their snarky little brother and a handsome viscount who used to be the boy next door. In the end, Persy must learn to trust her magical abilities—and her heart—if she is to rescue her sister, her friends and the future Queen of England.
