Biography:
A novelist and short story writer, Zu writes for both adults and children. Each year her original Christmas fiction is a featured cover story in the award winning News & Review Magazines. And several of her short stories have appeared in literary journals, where her awards include selection in Watershed’s best of twenty years, and Redbook’s fiction contest.
Her features and photos have sold to such magazines as Yoga Journal, Harper’s, Redbook, Flyfishing, Good Housekeeping, Artweek and Fine Homebuilding, and she’s written narrative non-fiction books for Harcourt, Plume and Signet.
Zu is a former Senior Editor of the art magazine Expressions, and a graduate of Vermont College’s MFA in Writing Program, where she was awarded a post-grad semester from Harcourt this spring. Her YA novel The Lucky Place has sold to the Front Street imprint of Boyds Mills Press.
