Welcome to Issue #2 of our E-Zine!
Ah, spring. A time for gardening, bird-watching, and most of all, reading! 2007 has arrived, and for the Class of 2k7, the last three months have been busy and fun. We have much to share, and much to look forward to, as well!
We have a bunch of new books coming out this quarter! We hope you’ll take a few minutes to look over the upcoming releases—books which are sure to be some of the best reads of the season. And take a look at some of our upcoming book signings, panels, workshops, and presentations—we may be coming to an area near you! We would love to meet our readers face to face.
This issue also includes some of the reviews our authors have been busily racking up in the last three months. We have a wide variety of books debuting this month, from romance to drama to humor to fantasy. By the way, have you ever wondered what it means when a book is called “edgy?” We wondered that too, and our contributors have a thoughtful article for you, exploring this topic. We welcome your e-zine feedback and comments on our website: www.classof2k7.com. Please take a minute to stop by, catch up on our interviews, blog, the forum, or whatever else grabs your eye. Authors are listed by titles, subject matter, as well as regions, so if you would like to contact someone about an author visit, please let us know.
And speaking of our website, did you know we are about to launch a contest for our readers? The Class of 2k7 is holding its First Annual First Lines Contest. That makes it our Last Annual First Lines Contest as well. That being the case, hurry on over to our website to get in on the action. Match first lines to their respective novel and author and win fabulous prizes! In this case, a bundle of ARCs!
And remember—everyone who subscribes to the e-zine is eligible for our ARC GIVEAWAY. Last issue’s winner was Christi Showman Farrar, a librarian for Woburn Public Library, in Woburn, MA. Christi was excited to win, and said: “They did arrive safe and sound…thank you! And the teens are definitely enjoying them. I haven’t seen most of them since they came in, which I take as a good sign.” So sit back and enjoy this issue, and as always, happy reading!
